1. Service description
KnowledgeVault AI is a software-as-a-service platform that allows users to upload documents, extract text via OCR, and use artificial intelligence to summarize, translate, generate study materials, and chat with their content. We provide the platform; you provide the documents and instructions.
2. Account & eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use KnowledgeVault AI. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
3. Subscriptions & billing
KnowledgeVault AI offers free trials and paid subscription plans. Billing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to pay all fees associated with your selected plan.
- Payments: Fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your selection.
- Refunds: Paid plans include a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. Contact us to request a refund.
- Cancellation: You may cancel or downgrade your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Price changes: We may adjust pricing with notice. Changes apply to your next billing cycle after the notice period.
4. User content
You retain full ownership of all documents, notes, and content you upload to KnowledgeVault AI. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the service.
You are solely responsible for the content you upload. Do not upload content that violates any law or the rights of others, including copyrighted material you do not have permission to use.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use KnowledgeVault AI to:
- Upload, store, or process illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
- Interfere with the service's security, availability, or performance.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the platform.
- Use the service to generate or distribute spam, misinformation, or abusive material.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Intellectual property
KnowledgeVault AI and its underlying software, designs, logos, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or intellectual property except as necessary to access the service.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay fees when due, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately, and we will begin deleting your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
KnowledgeVault AI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. AI-generated outputs (summaries, answers, flashcards, etc.) may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI outputs before relying on them for critical decisions.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KnowledgeVault AI and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice in the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
